[SCORES UPDATED 2/2020 10:18 PM] 2020 #PBCHOOPS Regional Quarterfinal Preview & Predictions Part 1 (Region 1A 4-2A 3-3A 3-7A )

After an eventful "Selection Sunday" the field for the 2020 FHSAA State Championship is now set. The bubble wasn't kind to Palm Beach County teams as only one of the five teams with a chance at the #8 seed in their respective regions was selected, Palm Beach Lakes in Region 3-7A. To say there was frustration and confusion about the FHSAA selection process is an understatement. MaxPreps rankings are used by the FHSAA in the formula for rankings but do not use margin of victory.

District championships are wrapping up all over South Florida tonight, Palm Beach County teams finished yesterday, now what? In the past the process was very simple, district winner and runner up automatically advance to the regional round. This year however only the 4 district winners in a region are guaranteed a spot in regional round, the others are picked based on an FHSAA ranking formula based heavily on each teams MaxPreps rankings but no one knows for sure.
