2020-21 #PBCHOOPS Private Schools Breakout Player of the Year - Zakaih Saez

Each year the #PBCHOOPS Breakout Player of the Year goes to the athlete who makes the biggest move from unknown to known. This past season was unusual therefore the award season will also be unusual, this year the #PBCHOOPS BPOY will be awarded in both Public and Private Schools.

The 2020-21 #PBCHOOPS Private Schools Breakout Player of the Year is Zakaih Saez of King's Academy.

Saez averaged a double double 18.9 points and 10.2 rebounds on the season and had a breakout year behind the point line making 37. King's Head Coach Murray Smith had this to say about his sophomore phenom "Zakaih helped take us to another level, he's a 'Swiss Army Knife', he can do a little of everything. He can score, rebound and was our big guard on the perimeter. Matchup nightmare for opposing teams."

Look for Zakaih to step into an even bigger role next season as the leader of a Lions squad that should contend as one of the top teams in 3A.

Be on the lookout for the release of the #PBCHOOPS All-County 1st and 2nd Team plus more Individual Awards next week.
