State Semifinal Playoff Preview
FHSAA 3A State Semifinal
Saint Andrew's 68 vs Chaminade-Madonna 58
Game 6PM Wednesday March 4, 2020 @ RP Funding Center Lakeland, FL
All season long Saint Andrew's has gone up against the state of Florida's toughest teams all to get to this point. Up next is a one of Broward's top small schools Chaminade-Madonna. On paper the matchup looks even. Both teams have size and playmakers, Saint Andrew's may have a slight edge in athleticism with Josh Minott and Yussif Basa-Ama leading the way as one of the most versatile players on the state. The game may come down each teams various X factors, for Chaminade that would be Justin Allen and Thaddius Franklin. On the Saint Andrew's side Devin Hines and Jackson May have come up big this post season, expect them to be major contributors once again. This game should be tight early but look for Saint Andrew's to pull away in the second half.
#PBCHOOPS Prediction | Saint Andrew's
Saint Andrew's will play Andrew Jackson, a team they have already defeated in the regular season, in the 3A State Championship game Saturday March 7th at 10AM.
FHSAA 7A State Semifinal
Forest Hill vs Seminole
Game 2:30PM Friday March 6, 2020 @ RP Funding Center Lakeland, FL
Forest Hill has only lost 2 games this season and hasn't lost since December. One of their biggest wins of the year up to this point may have been the six point victory over the now #2 team in Georgia, powerhouse Wheeler. Wheeler plays the #4 ranked team in the nation Grayson on Saturday to decide Georgia 7A title. Forest Hill now goes up against a Seminole team that features the dynamic twin duo of Demari and Jacari Henderson who are 26-4 thus far. One of Seminole's wins was a 77-65 contest against Park Vista on December 28, 2019. The Falcons handled Park Vista in both matchups beating them by and average of 21 points. This should be an exciting game but expect the Falcons to move on.
#PBCHOOPS Prediction | Forest Hill
A Forest Hill win puts them in the State Championship game Saturday March 7th at 8PM.
