Behind the #PBCHOOPSTOP5 1/19/20 and Week 9 Preview

Competition is picking up and as the opponents get better wins aren't easy to come by. The teams in the Top 5 are working to establish themselves as legit state title contenders by stepping up their play to start the new year. Here's a look at this weeks Top 5:

#1 Forest Hill - Falcons complete another undefeated week taking down some of North Florida's best in Jacksonville.

#2 Saint Andrew's - St Andrew's domination continues. Scot's have a tough game Monday against Mater Academy to close out the holiday weekend

#3 Dwyer - Dwyer continues to impress with big wins over Lakes and a highly talented North Miami team on back to back days.

#4 Wellington - Wellington took care of Jupiter once again. Now a showdown with #1 Forest Hill awaits this Friday.

#5 Park Vista - Park Vista back in the Top 5 despite a loss in Jacksonville to the #61 ranked team in Maxpreps Florida state rankings North Florida Educational. Cobras have been tough all season but still need a signature win over a top program to validate their ranking. That could happen Monday with a win over Miami Coral Park.

Grandview Prep has dropped out of the poll after two straight losses. The Pride have struggled since PG Harry Santiago went down with an injury earlier this month. Time will tell if they can get back to early season form.
