The Warm Up by Team Knight was an excellent primer for the upcoming live period, several South Florida teams took advantage of the opportunity to face quality competition in their own backyard. In its first year the event is here to stay and we can definitely expect bigger and better things in the years to come. In total 20 team participated in the 15U-17U groups. Tough competition, high level talent and local are the three words that best describe Day 1 of The Warm Up by Team Knight. Here is a recap of Saturday's games:
2-0 wins over Ball4Lyfe and Florida Future-Arthur. This group showed a lot of toughness after going down early 11-0 to in their game against Ball4Lyfe. They locked in and turned the game around late in the first half. Pulled out the victory 49-40
As teams prepare for the first of back to back NCAA Live Period weekends coming up April 20th, #PBCHOOPS and RMF Magazine will be in the gym all weekend providing coverage of a quality hoops shootout in South Florida. The tournament is put on by Marcus McGee and Team Knight offering teams a competitive, cost effective event to get tuned up before hitting the road. "The Warmup" is perfect place for programs to get right without breaking the bank on travel and lodging giving them to opportunity to focus on two quality games against solid opponents.
