#PBCHOOPS "SHOWTIME" Boys Team Showcase Top Performers and Standouts - Event Recap 10/4/20
The #PBCHOOPS "SHOWTIME" Team Showcase proved to be another great addition to our catalog of events. The showcase allowed four area teams to compete on a college campus, in front of college coaches both onsite and via live stream. Every prospect in the gym received a thorough evaluation both live in-person and also via video replay, before being added to the #PBCHOOPS Scout database for our collegiate subscribers.
Here's a list of the Top Performs and Standouts:
Maurice Campbell (LW Pride/Lake Worth HS) SG 6' 2" c/o 2021
Maurice Campbell is a tough, high motor guard with a nice 6' 1" frame. Campbell was in attack mode all day running the floor and finishing on the break. He also had his 3 point shot going, knocking down 7 on the day, 5 in Game 2 against the STARZZ. Maurice led the event in scoring averaging 23.5 points per game.
Nathan Mikkelson (STARZZ/Martin County) 6' 6" F c/o 2022
We first saw Nathan Mikkelson at the #PBCHOOPS High Academic Showcase in August. He did much of the same this time around, rebounding the ball and scoring in the paint putting up 19 points and 10 rebounds in a Game 2 win over LW Pride. Nathan finished the event as the #2 scorer averaging 15.5 points per game.
Rodrick Johnson (STARZZ/Dwyer) 6' 2" G c/o 2021
Rodrick Johnson has been on a hot streak the weeks leading into #PBCHOOPS "Showtime" which meant he had the eye of college coaches. The Keiser University staff was front and center as they watched Roderick average 14 points in both games, while displaying his off the charts athleticism on several powerful dunks. Johnson has worked hard on his jump shot and showed he can knock down perimeter shots.
Vladimir Vibert (Hornets/DME) 6' 3" PG c/o 2021
Vibert played in all 4 games at the Showtime event and showed no signs of wearing down. In Game 1 with the Hornets Vlad helped lead a furious comeback, scoring rebounding and making plays for his teammates. Vibert did a great job making his team better and keeping them competitive on the day.
Ryan Davis (STARZZ/Martin County) 6' 4" G c/o 2022
Ryan Davis has been on the radar for what seems like a long time, yet Davis is only in his junior year. Ryan has grown to 6' 4" and has a solid build that allowed him to bully smaller players in the post but still showed enough skill and agility to score on the perimeter. Davis has a nice all around game and expect to see a lot of that this season up at Martin County.
Christopher George (STARZZ/Royal Palm Beach) PG 6' 7" c/o 2022
Christopher George is the definition of knowing what you do best and doing it to the best of your ability. George is a high level shot blocker and rebounder, in a Game 1 victory he blocked 3 shots and altered about half a dozen more. When he wasn't shot blocking and rebounding, he was dunking and playing with high energy, a great combination for an agile wing.
Maxwell Servius (Conquerors/Coral Springs HS) 6' 2" c/o 2023
Maxwell Servius was one of the surprises on the day, a nice talent that posses bounce and athleticism. Servius plays above the rim and had a couple of transition dunks. Only a sophomore expect to hear more from Maxwell down at Coral Springs High School.
Carlos Civil (Hornets/Elite Academy) 6' 2" PG c/o 2021
Xavier Scott (STARZZ/Dwyer) 6' 0" PG c/o 2022
Solomon Powell (Hornets/Palm Beach Gardens) G 5' 9" c/o 2021
Jalen Jeter (LW Pride/Forest Hill) 6' 0" PG c/o 2021
Zakiah Saez (LW Pride/King's Academy) 6' 0" PG c/o 2021
Tony Wade (LW Pride/Lake Worth HS) PG 5' 8" c/o 2021
Marvin Golf (LW Pride/Lake Worth HS) PG 6' 2" c/o 2023
Vedan Cowan (Hornets/Palm Beach Gardens) G 6' 0" c/o 2021
Jomar Oquendo (Conquerors/South Broward) PG 6' 0" c/o 2021
Chris Joseph (Conquerors/UNSIGNED) G 6' 1" c/o 2020
