2017-18 #PBCHOOPS Girls Breakout Player of the Year - Amari Allen

The 2017-18 #PBCHOOPS Girls Breakout Player of the Year is Amari Allen of Atlantic High School.

Allen, a sophomore, led the Lady Eagles in scoring averaging 14.1 points and 5 rebounds more than doubling her statistics from her freshman season. In a rebuilding year for the Atlantic girls squad Allen was bright spot consistently handling the scoring load and often finding herself on the nightly #PBCHOOPS top scorers list.

2017-18 #PBCHOOPS Boys Rookie of the Year - Makye Boles

The 2017-18 #PBCHOOPS Rookie of the Year is Makye Boles of Suncoast High School.

As a freshman the 6' 6" Boles averaged 10.2 points per game, 5.1 rebounds and 2.4 block per game, making an immediate impact on a talented Suncoast team the won its 6th straight district title. Makye will run with Team Knight during the NCAA Live Periods this Spring and Summer on the Adidas Gauntlet Circuit.

2017-18 #PBCHOOPS Girls Rookie of the Year - Jahnae Midget

The 2017-18 #PBCHOOPS Girls Rookie of the Year is Jahnae Midget of Seminole Ridge High School.

In her freshman season Jahnae averaged 16.8 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists per game for a Lady Hawks team that went 15-11 this season, a 5 game improvement from the 2016-17 season. A true gym rat, Jahnae can constantly be found working on her game and gives a tremendous amount of credit to her teammates. "Without them it wouldn’t have been possible for me to achieve success" Midget said, "Next season, I'm going to grind harder and continue to work on my craft and come back better."
